Finally, I have canceled the Astro subscription, after subscribing to it for more than 4 years. AXN and AEC used to be my favorite channel, before AFC was added to the Family package about 2 years ago (if I remember correctly is 2 years). But then, we started to watch TV less. We spend most of the time on the internet rather on TV. Internet become part of our live. :) Our children do not glued to the idiot box too. They watch only if we are watching with them together. Even if I put on their favorite Baby Einstein and then go to do cooking in the kitchen, it won't work. They will follow me to kitchen too. In the past, Lynn will ask us to turn
on the Disney Playhouse Channel. But nowadays most of the time she asks for the Baby Einstein DVD instead. I can calculate how many times in a month, we are watching the Astro program by using one hand. :) Since we are not watching, with the price of the subscription is increasing, we have decided to cancel the subscription to save the money for something else. :)

oh u did? i tot of canceling it too but due to my craze for badminton, i held back... sigh... just to watch the game once per month, i reluctantly continued on the subscription of 88rm, including one china channel which my FIL loves to watch... but when night time comes, we never utilized astro at all.. :(
actually you don need them since u come home so late. even me fulltime at home also no subscribe to astro. the cartoons and series on our tv is more than enough to keep us glued on tv liao.
Yah! If didn't watch as much, better cancel, no need to pay tat amount of money monthly...
right move! ;)
Claire - Yeah, their Sports package price has increased. From my initial subscription of less than Rm40, now become RM 72. Almost has doubled up.
Chin Nee - No aerial ler. Even if want to watch TV, we have to install aeriel first. :)

I hardly watch astro too. Like u, internet is my best friend and astro ranks no where near...prefer to watch tvb series on dvd. Playhouse disney is ON most of the time, that's why cannot cancel astro...my boy will freak out!

I love to watch Astro channel.I am addicted to Singapore Drama. Aec and Afc channel is my favo.
I wish i could terminate my too, but the tv reception and signal there in my place is back, so need to via astro....
once it is ok,i will cancel too.
