THOR Charity Movie Fundraiser for Japan - "Sharing Hearts, Sharing Hopes"

I was an active Leo Club members before I started to work. I joined the Leo Club after joining the Lions Club's Youth Exchange program to Japan. It was an eye opening and very good experience for me being in the Leo Club. And I get to meet a bunch of good people from there. And now they are having this THOR Charity Movie Fundraiser for Japan - "Sharing Hearts, Sharing Hopes", so I just want to help spread the words around.

In Leo, we are taught to serve. Our Leo pledge teaches us to extend our hands to help those in need, our ears to hear another outcry, our eyes to see the plight of others and for our hearts to reach out and be touched.

With this in mind, the Leo Club of Kuala Lumpur City Centre (Omega) is seeking to raise funds in our bid to spread hope to the survivors of the 11 March 2011 Tohoku Earthquake & Tsunami disaster in Japan whom have lost almost everything and is still struggling to cope with their daily lives.

Now, thanks to the charitable souls at Cathay Cineplex, we have been given the privilege to hold a special Charity Movie Fundraiser for the blockbuster movie THOR!

Date: 30 April 2011, Saturday
Time: 9pm (Pls be there by 8:30pm)
Venue: Cathay Cineplex, E@Curve
Price: RM30* for students / RM45* for working adults
(* Inclusive of 1 drink + popcorn set)

ONLY 328 SEATS AVAILABLE for this awesome special charity screening of Thor just 2 days after its premiere on 28 April 2011!

All proceeds would then go towards Japan through Lions Club International via our sponsoring Lions Club of KL Cheras and the Lions Club in Japan.

We hope by initiating this project under our "Sharing Hearts, Sharing Hopes" umbrella, we can do our part in giving, sharing and caring for the brave survivors in Japan.

So, let us share our hearts and put a smile on their faces. Together, we can make a difference.

ROAR! ROAR! ROAR!

If you are interested, you can drop by the FB page and leave a comment there. If I can manage to get someone to help take care the kids, I will be going for this movie on that night with hb. So if you are going, let me know so we can meet up!

Hi Chee Yee, it is always good to lend or give a helping hand.
And I believe that hands that help are Holier than lips that pray.
Have a nice day.
Lee.

Great to give back to the society, especially for the victims and their children! I wish I could make it, just keep my fingers crossed cause like your situation, it's hard to get someone taking care of the kids especially at night!:)
